Knee problems: Knee pain and stiffness can come from many conditions/ injuries, but with the sensation you describe as "buckling" I would suggest you see a physician to check for ligament or meniscus problems. To start treatment at home begin with rice, and make sure you continue working on your quad strength (like you did after your acl surgery). Hope this helps! ...Read more

Tendinitis of FDL/TA: Where I ur knee is the pain? If it is towards the bk, it sounds like u cd have strained the Flexor Digitorum Longus (FDL) tendon which runs from behind the knee to the medial (inner) part of the mid foot. If the pain is in the front, u cd have strained the tibialis anterior (TA) tendon instead, also known as "runner's knee" or "shin splints". Ice the area & rest; if not better in 2 wks, TTYD. Doubtful: Cancer is statistically extremely unlikely. Much more likely at your age would be conditions such as chondromalacia (wear and tear of the kneecap cartilage) or possibly cartilage wear and tear within the knee joint itself.
