? Not sure/maybe: This is an intriguing question. I treat or have treated many women w/ acl deficient knees. No patients that I can recall have noted or questioned me on an association between menstrual periods and increased knee instability, but there may be in some patients... Increased estrogen and prog. During pregnancy increase joint'laxity' in the pelvis...Possible it may impact your knee laxity slightly...

I am 46 and have had menstrual cycle for 1 1/2 weeks I had a knee replacement in may and I just started haveing menstrual cycles in july but this is the longest one.

Treadmill/running does have increased force on the knee, but would evaluate if pain recurs persists, related to flat feet or abnormal knee tracking.
