Taking an antihistamine like benadryl (may cause drowsiness) will also help the reaction and the itch. Should I get tested for Chagas disease? I've spent alot of time in florida and tennessee which both have kissing bugs
It takes two items, kissing bugs and a microorganism, trypanosoma cruzi, that causes Chagas disease. The microorganism is not endemic in the US so you do not need to be concerned about getting tested. You may consult this site for more info on this topic.

My dog vomited, and before I knew I was kissing her head, and she might have had a little bit on her, should I be worried for myself getting sick?
My boyfriend was bit by a possibly rabid animal yesterday. Last night we kissed quite a bit and I gave him oral sex. Could I contract it through him?
No risk, no worries: Rabies is not transmitted until the infected persons has had it quite a while. Even if your boyfriend caught rabies, you couldn't catch it from him for at least a few weeks. Even then, human to human transmission is exceedingly rare, if it happens at all. Of course your bf needs to see a doctor (or speak with the health department) ASAP about the bite and whether he needs rabies shots. ...Read more

Confusing wording: The vaccine series promotes immune protection in your body that protects you for at least 2 years from the point of completion.
