Get workup-prevent.: Kidney stones CAN be prevented. Need testing of 24 hour urine collection for: pH, creatinine, calcium, oxalate, cystine, uric acid, phosphate, volume, protein, sodium, etc. Also renal ultrasound. Bad diarrhea cause may guide cause of kidney stone. Drink enough fluids to produce at least 2 and a half liter urine per day.
