Would painful urination combined with small blood clots be caused by kidney stones? And would it be ER worthy?

Would painful urination combined with small blood clots be caused by kidney stones? And would it be ER worthy?

Yes!: This is more likely a urinary tract infection, especially if you have burning with urination. Kidney stones can cause blood in the urine, but there is usually pain in the side/flank. Severe pain. Of the same intensity as giving birth, I don't think you would miss it! Go to an ER/Emergicare/or doctor's office and get the urine tested. ...Read more

I'm having horrible lower back pain and painful urination along with blood in my urine. Am I passing kidney stones or do you think it's a UTI?

UTI vs kidney stones: Actually, it's not uncommon to have both urinary tract infection & kidney stone. We usually think of the stone as the source of infection. Both infections & stones can cause pain & bloody urine. Fever would tip scale towards UTI. Best to see your Family Doc for diagnosis & treatment. ...Read more

Was diagnosed with kidney stone about 2 weeks ago and I still haven't passed it, suddenly it is painful when I'm close to done urinating, why?

It's coming out: is the most likely explanation, it is at the "neck" of the bladder and trying to come on out. Keep drinking and think positive thoughts about what you'll do to the bugger when it does ;> See your doc if it is too painful or you have any fever, chills though. ...Read more

Severe vaginal burning , ll quad pain, not uti, std, yeast, products or sex. Painful/difficult urination.Long endo history/ hysterectomy. Kidney stone?

Atrophy?: Atrophic vaginitis or desquamative vaginitis can cause the vaginal symptoms, as can other infections besides yeast, like bacteria and viruses. The treatments are all very different, so you'd need a gyn specialist to sort it out. As far as the llq pain, it may or may not be related, but it could be caused by a stone, or an ovarian cyst. But a kidney stone wouldn't cause vaginal burning. ...Read more
