what type of treatment for kidney stone?

Three Main Kinds

Laser
The size of the stone, whether it is symptomatic, infected or located in the ureter help determine if treatment is needed, as well as what approach. Stones in the kidney >2.5 cm usually need surgery through a keyhole incision in the back (PCNL). Smaller stones (but >4 mm) in the kidney may need ESWL(sound waves) or a direct look through the ureter (ureteroscopy) with LASER break up. Ask your MD

What are the signs of a kidney stone on ultrasound?

Bright spots

Ultrasound
Kidney stones show up on ultrasound as bright echogenic foci (white spots) within the substance of the kidney. If the stones are larger than 3 or 4 mm there will be a darker area behind the stone representing an acoustical shadow. Obstruction of the kidney by a stone will cause dilatation of the kidney's collecting system which will appear as black fluid spaces within the kidney.

Could a 10 mm kidney stone be removed without any treatment from a doctor?

No way

Kidney_stone
Stone is much too large to pass & can not be dissolved with medication. Best bet would be extra-corpral shock-wave lithotripsy (ESWL) You need to see a urologist. Good Luck

Please tell me, could a kidney stone ultrasound also detect ovarian cancer?

Yes, but...

Cancer
It is possible that a renal ultrasound might detect some findings associated with ovarian cancer but the cancer would have to be relatively advanced for such findings to be present. Ascites (fluid in the abdomen) soft tissue masses on the abdominal wall (peritoneal implants), and blockage of the kidneys may be seen. The ovaries themselves would not typically be studied.
