Severe cough, = cracked rib? Severe pain when coughing, breathing deep, twisting body or pressing on rib. Scared to cough because of the pain.
See your Dr ASAP: Especially if you are pregnant and w/ your cardiac condition, have an exam. At the least, you'll know if your rib is cracked (probably not) and you'll get Rx(s) to ease the pain and help the URI clear up. It's not good to add anxiety/avoidance to the mix. kidney: I would have to suspect: 1) kidney infection or stone or 2) pneumonia in the right lower lobe of your right lung. A simple urinalysis would rule out or rule in #1. Consider hernia: Can't diagnose simply from description, but often times hernias (where the bowel pokes through the normal muscle) can occur in the area you described, and can cause the same symptoms.
