I seem to have had a terrible reaction to nitrofurantoin (microdantin). Kidney pain, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, shortness of breath. Am i allergic and should I go to the er?

My wife went through a lithotripsy last year for a 7mm stone. Again 2.5 mm stone in mid pole of left kidney. Acute pain & vomiting. Lithotripsy again?
