Sometimes are symptom free for years but if they start to move from kidney down the ureter people can experience intense pain that can come and go but usually some degree of continuous pain. As the stone move down toward the bladder the pain may change from the midback area moving down toward the bladder. People say this is one of the worst pains. Unknown...: It is impossible to predict when the kidneys may be involved with bacterial UTI. Most UTIs in females are limited in bladder/urethra - lower UTI with rare extension to kidneys/ureters - upper UTI. Just found out I have a small myelolipoma on my R kidney. Can that cause any problems? Does it trigger hormone release like excessive growth hormones?
Rare and benign: myelolipoma of the kidney is a rare and benign lesion usually of adrenal but sometimes found in the kidney. If it enlarges in the kidney it may compress the hilum to produce hydronephrosis and in even rarer cases may have a liposarcomatous component. Endoscopic endopyelotomy is the least invasive and requires several weeks of stenting( a tube left in the ureter to drain urine from kidney to bladder) until healing.
