Ketones And Bilirubin In Urine
Specific Gravity URN 1.031 Ketone Urine (Trace) Bilirubin Urine (small) what could possibly cause the above? My doctor recommends for ultrasound exam
Almost normal urine: Must be other reasons for the ultrasound recommendation. The urine results aren't very abnormal. It could result from mild dehydration overnight and fasting. Small bilirubin can be a false positive. What kind of ultrasound? Bladder residual volume? R/O renal artery stenosis? Kidney? ...Read more

1month gray + dark green poop. Liver labs normal. Bilirubin+ketones in urine. Back+mid abdomen hurt, feel like vomiting. Dr said its normal?? Lost 5#
Nothing: Especially if you're hungry, you can have +1 ketones and it's normal. You say you have cirrhosis and it is no surprise if you've got a bit of extra conjugated bilirubin in your blood spilling into your urine. I hope the cirrhosis can be addressed; if it's hepatitis C, perhaps you can get a cure with today's meds; if alcohol, perhaps abstinence can reverse it. Be strong & stay proactive. ...Read more

I have protein (0.15 g/L), ketones (0.5 mmol/L), urobili (3.5 umol/L) and bilirubin (17 umol/L) in my urine. Should I be worried? Please help! .
Urine studies: These do not indicate disease. All of us have a little protein, bilirubin, and urobilogen in our urine. These amounts are very little. Ketones indicate fasting or alcohol without eating or diabetes out of control. Ketones are not usual, but if fasting, then are good. Were you fasting? ...Read more
Been having on and off back pain for the past five to six months. Also I have 1 + bilirubin in my urine, 2 + blood, and Trace ketones, and weight gai?
Hello my urine test found positive in ketone and bilirubin and also had 20mg ascorbic acid. Can I know what are the problem about this?
Not Necessarily Any: Ketones are a byproduct of burning fat, they are healthy ; not a problem if not very high. Bilirubin, a breakdown product of hemoglobin, mostly cleared by liver but some people do not clear as well ; some is cleared through kidneys; get liver function test results to help evaluate. Ascorbic acid is vitamin c, a water soluble vitamin, ; likely spilling into urine if you are taking lots of vitamin c. ...Read more
Took a urine test in class today and came out with Bilirubin Small+ and with Ketone trace -5 should I be worried? I'm near my period could that be
Urine sample showed Ketone and Bilirubin (17mmol+), should I seek fast investigation or wait GP (back in 2 weeks) Blood tests are OK, No health issues?
Relax: Miss a meal and you'll often get a few ketones. If you're not jaundiced, the bilirubin is probably a false alarm. If you're taking "herbal medicines" that are often not what they are supposed to be and can cause cholestasis, consider stopping. Otherwise be thankful for good health. ...Read more
Urine sample (with stringy floating white pieces) has TRACE bacteria and MODERATE leukocytes. No blood, nitrites, ketones, bilirubin. Diagnosis?
That is probably a: Normal looking urine, with some asymptomatic bacteriuria (presence of bacteria without causing infection). The long stringy white stuff is protein or casts that have polymerized in the urine. If you have symptoms of UTI, then you can be treated, but if not then you do not need immediate treatment. Repeat urinalysis for protein presence may be recommended at this time. ...Read more

Seen urologist tues. Blood in urine, abnormal ketones, specific gravity, and bilirubin. Wasn't treated. Still having symptoms. Should I go to the er?
Yes/see Dr. First.: It's a good idea to get treatment urgently for this. You have blood in your urine, which can mean trauma, malignancy, infection, or something else. Your ketone reading can indicate diabetes, even an acute diabetic episode, and bilirubin can mean liver or gallbladder involvement, or destruction of red blood cells. You need more tests so see your doctor and arrange to go to the er/hospital asap. ...Read more
Blood test fine except high creatinine & bilirubin. Urine dipstick shows bilirubin, ketones, proteins, high sg and blood. Ct no stones in kidn or galb?
I just did urinalysis and the result show "Trace of protein" in the urine. PH - 6.5, Leucocytes - Nil, Blood - Nil, Glucose - Nil, Ketone - Nil, Ascorbic Acid - Nil, Bilirubin - Nil, Urobililnogen - Normal, Nitrite - Nil, what should I worry about.
Likely, these are ok: I would not worry about this UA report, which most likely bears no clinical significance. But when, how, and why did you get this urinalysis? As always, it should be always correlated with clinical profile. To drill out more clinical significance, peruse articles listed in http://formefirst. Com/onUTI. Html. GERD would not: Cause these abnormalities in your urine.I would like to know what your liver enzymes are. Have you noticed any jaundice (yellowing of the white part of your eyes)? The protein in your urine should also be looked into with a serum Creatinine and BUN & a 24 hour urine to quantify the amount of protein being lost in the urine. You may want to discus this with your current doc or get a second opinion. ...Read more
