Ketoconazole 2 Shampoo Side Effects
Is using ketoconazole shampoo the same as is oral? Does it have lots of side effects? Cancer? What if I want kids one day? Any other fungus safe shamp
Shampoo is safer: Ketoconazole shampoo is much safer than taking ketoconazole by mouth. This is because, when ingested, many of your body systems and organs are exposed to the drug. When you’re using shampoo, only your skin is exposed. Absorption of the drug by the skin is minimal, so there typically are not side effects. The shampoo should not affect your risk of cancer of ability to have children. ...Read more
Should different topical ointments be ever mixed? Can you tell me what side effects/if any could happen if you mix ammonium lactate cream, ketoconazal shampoo, betamethasone ointment, clobetasol propionate ointment?
The Betamethasone and the clobetasol are both steroids, therefore it is probably not a good idea to mix these together since steroids can cause thinning of the skin when used in high amounts or over prolonged periods of time. As far as the the other two ointments, there is no interaction as far as I can tell from my research; however you should consult the prescribing doctor or your local pharmacist to be sure.
