No: No, ordinarily the bacteria that classically cause kennel cough do not affect humans. However, there have been case reports of that bacteria affecting humans who are immuno-compromised. As long as everyone in the household his relatively healthy, i'm afraid only your dog is going to be affected. Yes: Uncontrolled asthma and allergies predispose to recurrent upper respiratory infections, and vice versa, plus the symptoms may be very similar. Sometimes, this can be solved with just avoidance of triggers - exposure to something at home or school. Likely a weak airway: Some infants can develop a rather worrisome breathing pattern that make a lot of noise from their rubbery airways. Some have an airway that is more rubbery than normal & make a crowing sound as they inhale & or exhale. I would have this checked out by your doc early next week. ...Read more
