Hurt On The Corners: Yes, but just a plain steroid cream would probably work just as well, unless the inflammation is so bad that you develop an infection and look like The Joker. After it calms down it's important to try and keep the corners of your mouth dry. Like, use the napkin frequently, be careful chewing gum and use extra care when eating citrus, carry some tissue with you, no lip licking, As for wet kisses, well... ...Read more
When using kenacomb ointment on the anus, Can I use it monthly for say, 1- 2 weeks at at time or will this cause thinning skin? Thanks
Not best: Yes, it can cause thin skin and allergic reactions. Better not use except occasionally. If you have anal itch [pruritus ani] it is due to fecal soiling, especially if there are hemorrhoids. After a bowel movement, whenever the area feels wet or irritated, use skin lotion such as Eucerin or Aveeno on bathroom paper or kleenex to clean the area. Using a finger behind the paper, guide it inside the ...Read more
Wrong question: Since this product contains triamcinolone, it is likely to be good for anything that plain triamcinolone would be used for. It is an irrational combination of agents, some of which should never be used because they are common sensitizers. I would not recommend it for anything. Best approach is to know what you are treating and use what is specific for that. "Shotgun" preps with some of everything ...Read more
Not advised.: Ketacomb cream is a combination of Nystatin (an antifungal), neomycin and gramicidin (both antibacterials) and triamcinolone (a steroid). Triamcinolone is too strong a steroid for use on the face. I discourage use of these "combo" creams anyway; it's better to treat the specific problem, whatever it is, with a cream made specifically for that problem. ...Read more

What do you suggest if my dermatologist recommend me to use dermosalic, hydrocortisone and kenacomb for acne scars?
Do What He says: If you have already seen a dermatologist and he/she has recommended a treatment, I would do that and see if it works. If it doesn't work go back and tell them that. DO you have questions about side effects? Otherwise I am not sure what else you are asking. ...Read more

Does bioderm ointment expire? If yes, please help me find the expiration date on the bottle. I can't see it.
Everything expires: Nothing lasts forever, but over-the-counter lotions and creams might not have a recommended expiration date stamped on the container. Perhaps going to a store and looking at all the other creams to see what are typical expiration dates can help a person decide when to throw away the bioderm. Of course, if the bioderm looks, smells, or feels different than when new, it's best to throw it out. ...Read more
