Keep Eyebrow Hair Falling Out
Anything I can do to keep my eyebrow hair from falling out? I keep my dermatitis under control but the hair still falls out they're weak
How are you controll: How are you controlling your dermatitis? If you are using steroid cream, that should actually help with the growth of the eyebrows. But to help the eyebrow follicles to be stronger, I suggest to use Latisse (bimatoprost). You can use this product over your eyebrow, if you don't have any allergies to any Prostoglandins.
Hair loss, otherwise known as alopecia, can be caused by different reasons, including damage to the hair shaft or follicles or fungal infections. There are two main types of alopecia. Alopecia areata occurs when the body's immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair to fall out. Androgenetic (or androgenic) alopecia, on the other hand, is an inherited form of hair loss. I had telogen, now I have hair tension on top of my head (crown) and I see baby hair falling out but hair is growing. Is there anything I can do?
Telogen effluvium: Telogen effluvium typically resolves spontaneously and treatment usually is limited to reassurance. Any reversible causes of hair shedding, such as poor diet, iron deficiency, hypothyroidism, or medication use, should be corrected. Although topical Minoxidil is not proven to promote recovery of hair in telogen, it is well tolerated and has been used.
Multiple possibiliti: This could be something that is called alopecia areata which has treatment options or it could be androgenic. It is important to get if evaluated by a dermatologist as there can also be associations with autoimmune problems.

Hirsutism + alopecia: Hyperandrogenism may be leading to what sounds like hirsutism (http://www. Mayoclinic. Org/diseases-conditions/hirsutism/basics/definition/con-20028919) & male pattern baldness (yes, I know you're female: http://goo. Gl/RrYj7U). Maybe I jumped to conclusion & it's hair loss (alopecia) due to excess thyroid hormone or stress or infection or immune system issue. Bottom line, go see Family Doc for eval
My dad has full thick hair. I have full thick hair. All of a sudden my hair has been falling out. The top of my head mainly. Can I be going bald?
You're kind of young: All normally masculinized men lose the hair on our temples at around age 20. Men who progress early to male pattern baldness are generally those blessed with a lot of chest hair -- look around you. It's unusual to have it start on the crown at you age, and you may have telogen effluvium or one of the other causes. Ask your physician. Good looks is about fitness much more than hair.
Med evaluation: There can be many possible reasons for hair loss. The treatment depends on what the cause is. Encourage you to see your dermatologist for an evaluation.
Information: If you are healthy and without disease, the it is probably normal and related to your genetic inheritance.

If no health issues are found, you may be dealing with genetic predisposition but I recommend that you then consult a hair stylist for advice about your hair care.
For My 7 yrs boy, sticky dry hair falling found on crown of head getting bald past 5 months and it extends its area mostly downwards back of head, it is by hair problem or any internal and who to seek medical help?
Alopecia vs fungus: Child probably is developing alopecia. It would be important also to rule out a fungal infection of the scalp. Best would be to see a dermatologist who can do a Woods light examination and a KOH prep and tell you the diagnosis and treatment right away. If it is Alopecia he will also be able to guide you properly and reassure you. If required further work up can also be initiated.

Why won't someone tell me what's wrong with me. Help night sweats 100 fever always hair falling out sore on head. Legs heavy painful. Can't catch breath always tired. Memory going. Pain lump on shoulder?
Multiple complaints: Whenever I have a patient with nondescript symptoms I ask them to monitor and record their data. Hence, I would ask you to take your temp, photograph your hair loss and the lump, and I would objectively quantify your memory performance with cognitive testing. Also, several of the symptoms you relate can be caused by the Lortab you take. Please speak with the prescribing physician about it.See 3 more doctor answers
Have hair loss which derm thinks telogen effluvium, so then why is hair on my legs, eyebrows, under arms, etc. Not falling out and still growing?
Unknown: There is little or no research money for telogen effluvium. It is quite variable and often is patchy on the scalp. In severe cases it can effect body hair, axillary hair, pubic hair, eyelash and eyebrow hair. No-one knows how to explain the differences. Does the Dr speculate about the reason for your case? You left out all the interesting details.

Eyebrow Loss/Growth: Eyebrow loss can be due to aging, injury, trauma or medical conditions. For most cases of eyebrow loss, an eyebrow transplant is required to restore hair follicles into the bare or bald area. A NeoGraft FUE eyebrow transplant is a comfortable outpatient procedure that takes just a few hours to complete and leaves no linear scar. Cosmetic healing requires a few days and the results are permanent.
Patient is 2.5 yo boy who has not yet grown hair. He has eyebrows and thin eyelashes but remains bald. Could this be alopecia?
Genetic Cause?: There are many causes that would explain why someone does not grow hair or the hair is very sparse. If a child has not grown hair by the age of 2.5yrs, there is a good chance there is a genetic cause. The cause could be one of several types of "Ectodermal Dysplasia" or "Congenital Atrichia". There are many other causes as well. You will need have this evaluated by a dermatology & genetics.
