Dangerous: The thought process here is dangerous. Too much potassium can be deadly. Perhaps more importantly, I suspect you are having symptoms that you attribute to low potassium, but that may portend another (or persistent) problem that requires follow up evaluation. What does it mean when your cardic output reads co 4.09& cl 2.6& sv 55.84 ?

Cardiac Output: Cardiac output is the amount of blood the heart pumps each minute measured in liters. The ci is the cardiac index or the co divided by the body surface area. I am not certain what you mean by sv, but svr is the standard abbreviation for systemic vascular resistance, a measurement of how much resistance there is to blood flow. ...Read more

What do these numbers mean are they normal or not they are co4.09, cl 2.6& svr55.64 cardic output numbers from right and left cather?

I imaging you : Are referring to cardiac output, cardiac index and systemic vascular resistance that may be an index one(svri). I am a critical care physician. In my opinion those numbers are meaningless without known history and physical, working diagnosis, chest x-ray, ekg, blood pressure, heart rate. Co may be little low and svr too. No sense to me without above info. Talk to the ICU physician in charge. ...Read more
