Juvederm Or Restylane For Under Eyes
What is the best filler for under eye tear trophs/dark circles? Belotero or restylane (dermal fillers)?
Fillers are helpful: The two fillers you have mentioned are both capable of filling the tear trophs. They are both made out of hyaluronic acid. There are many different fillers that use this substance. Discuss your goals with an experienced injector and the right product can be selected. ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers
Juvederm is the hyaluronic acid dermal filler sold by allergan for the purpose of enhancing the deeper lines formed on the face--most notably, the nasolabial folds. Many other 'off label' uses such as enhancement of the cheeks, tear troughs, lips, etc have also been performed. This substance lasts in most ...Read more
Wrinkles under eyes: Can be treated by blepharoplasty surgery or facial chemical peels, but both of these require healing and down-time. Ultherapy uses ultrasonic energy to stimulate (mild) collagen building and some improvement in skin tone. Exilis uses rf (radiofrequency energy) to stimulate collagen growth. Both work reasonably well for non-invasive, no down-time, pain-free procedures, but do not replace surgery! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Yes and no? Maybe mo: Any muscle which loses its innervation (which occurs with botox) may suddenly begin to twitch or fasciculate. Generally this subsides over a few days. However any imbalance in muscle action can also cause this and Botox is indicated for the medical treatment of blepharospasm (eye twitching). Therefore more botolinummay be the answer. Juvederm is not likely to cause eye twitching. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Radiesse (dermal fillers) and lips: Radiesse should not be injected into the lips because of the hardness that it can create. Radiesse is not reversible also. HA based dermal fillers are the best choice for lip augmentation. If you are looking for a more permanent way to augment your lips, then consider fat transfer. Hope this helps. ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers
Filler Duration: In my experience, hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane (dermal fillers) and Perlane last about 9 months up to and just over 12 months when used for cheek augmentation. Perlane should last somewhat longer than Restylane (dermal fillers) due to it's more heavily crosslinked ha design. ...Read moreSee 6 more doctor answers
Best treatment for nasolabial folds/smile lines? Juvederm, Restylane (dermal fillers) or Radiesse? How much do they cost? Which lasts longest & has least side effects?
Combination: The naso-labial folds are formed when the cheek tissues start to shift downward. Often, when the cheeks are lifted, filled and contoured with Radiesse (dermal fillers) and Voluma the naso-labial folds soften. However, the folds can be addressed directly with Juvederm. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Would belotero reduce the heavy lines between by eyebrows? What are the differences in the fillers belotero, Restylane and juvederm? Would a belotero injection between my eyebrows (for those wrinkles that look like the number eleven) be the best filler op
Dysport/Botox first: In this situation, you need to get Dysport or Botox to relax the muscle first. After a few weeks, if the line is still present, you can use a filler to help further improve results. Belotero, although not fda approved for this region, can be used to accomplish this task. Be aware that a very rare complication of skin necrosis is possible with any filler in this region. ...Read moreSee 6 more doctor answers
Can perlane (dermal fillers) under your eyes cause dark circles? I've heard that perlane (dermal fillers) can cause a bluish color in your skin when it's injected under your eyes. Is that true? Is it permanent?
Hyaluronic : Hyaluronic acid fillers (such as perlane, restylane, (dermal fillers) juvederm) can lead to a bluish skin discoloration if placed too close to the skin surface. This is due to what's called the tyndall effect and is related to how light is scattered by the filler. This blue discoloration isn't permanent as it should resolve once the product is resorbed. You can also dissolve the product sooner with hyaluronidase (an enzyme that dissolve hyaluronic acid). The main way to prevent the problem is to place the filler deeper within the tissues so it can't be seen. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What's the difference between perlane and restylane (dermal fillers)? They seem to have the same ingredients. So why is my doctor recommending perlane over restylane (dermal fillers)?
Perlane (dermal fillers) thicker: Perlane is a thicker version of Restylane (dermal fillers) so lasts longer and gives more volume due to the larger particle size, therefore you get more "bulk" and lifting with perlane. These properties make Perlane more suited for deeper folds such as nasolabial folds and marrionette lines whereas Restylane (dermal fillers) is better for lips and tear trough where the skin is thinner. ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers
