Just Had Catscan Found Swollen Lymph Nodes In All Pelvice Area
I have swollen lymph nodes in my lower back area, what can it be? Just had an MRI done and that was the diagnosis now I'm waiting to get a CT scan.
Usually benign: In a young person, most causes of swollen lymph nodes are infectious or reactive, therefore are benign. Localized lymph node swelling is frequently due to localized infection. Some infections can be serious however, such as tb. Rarely cancer can present as enlarged nodes (lymphoma, hodgkin disease), so, a biopsy/removal and further lab analysis may be necessary to determine cause. ...Read more
Swollen lymph nodes in neck 3+ months neg for malignancy (ct scan). Cbc normal. No pain or discomfort.?
Lymph nodes neck and armpits feel swollen for 2+ years but no lumps. Got CBC in nov all clear. Ct scan showed swollen lymph nodes in neck. What is it?
Lymphadenopathy: Lymph nodes can enlarge for many reasons. Their purpose is to help fight infection and other inflammatory conditions and these may cause enlargement of the nodes. They can also suggest primary tumors of the lymphatic system. The only way to clearly differentiate is to biopsy, but most clinicians will not do this without a high degree of suspicion as to a malignant condition. ...Read more
Had a Ct scan for swollen lymph nodes results came back that no swollen lymph nodes were found. I can feel they are clearly there what does this mean?
Hard to: Say without viewing the scan, but a CT in most cases should be able to easily visualize enlarged lymph nodes. Keep in mind that you may be able to feel normal lymph nodes, and also that an abnormal lymph node may be normal in size (and therefore look normal on CT). A hard or painful lymph node may still be normal in size. CT can only discern size and shape. ...Read more
Hi I've been having chest pains. Had a CT scan done and they found I had two swollen lymph nodes. I have no other symptoms becides the chest pain.?
Quite a few causes: Chestwall itself, esophagus/stomache, lungs, heart, pancreas, and even liver problems can cause chest pain. In the young, more likely chestwall itself or reflux is causing pain. As we get older heart disease becomes more common cause of concern. Since u gave only limitted info, it is diiffult to tell what you have. Please repost a more specific question or consult your doc. I recently had ct & diagnosed with several swollen lymph nodes around my aorta. The largest at 4 cm. What can cause this?
Swollen lymph nodes all over body. All less than 2 cm but I keep getting more. Low grade temps over 6mths. Normal CT scan... What can it be?
Maybe nothing wrong: With small nodes and normal CT -- implying no enlarged nodes internally, no abnormalities of spleen or liver -- maybe nothing is wrong. Lymph nodes under 2 cm may not be enlarged at all -- assuming the lumps you feel are lymph nodes in the first place. Has your doctor confirmed them? Any lab results, e.g. HIV, syphilis, blood count? If your doc has reassured you all is well, I would agree. ...Read more

Probably: Ct scans would show enlarges nodes in the neck, chest and abdomen. Visualization of the chest and abdomen can be improved by vascular contrast agents which is technically not an angiogram. Was diagnosis with bell's palsy had CT scan it was normal. I have swollen lymph nodes and can't hear. Ear feels swollen could this still be bells or neuroma?
Not likely: There may be some other underlying cause for all of this. It's possible that the bell's palsy was misdiagnosed and now with these other issues the true issue can b detected. The lymph nodes and decreased hearing are concerning and a visit to an ENT as well as imaging likely with a ct scan with contrast is indicated. If the nodes are large and mobile a biopsy may b easy to as well. Must see md. ...Read more
I have had swollen glands in my neck and pelvic area since March and I’m not sure if it’s a cause for concern. The lymph nodes aren't very big.
Watch and wait:
If you do not have any symptoms you may watch and wait. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
