On prednisone x 1yr. Tapering 0.5 mg every 2 weeks. Day five of 5mg. Need frequent naps to function. Wake lightheaded, low bp. Will go away if I continue?
Ahh...: Adrenal glands atrophied or decreased in function due to the steroids. cannot say in your particular case, but generally, if there is low bp after a long time on high steroids, the normal steroid secretion isn't happening. Several things to look at with your doctor- your pain level, your caffeine intake, use of electronics such as smartphone, computer, tablets, video games can impact your sleep. Your sleeping area should be without tv and dark. Here is a great website about better sleep:

Many infants will begin to have more regular and longer naps once they are able to crawl or walk. As your baby gets older and more active I suspect that you will find this to be true.
I would also add that you should plan on scheduled naps. Most infants are ready for the morning nap 2-3 hours after awakenings. The pm nap usually is after lunch. Note that "sneaky sleep" in the car can ruin a nap. ...Read more
