Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time) is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time. If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working. ...Read more

Be patient: It might just take a little while for your hormones to balance. Keep taking your pills daily. Hopefully the bleeding will stop soon. Get through this entire pill pack. Good luck. :) ...Read more

I'm on Junel birth control pills and today makes 7 days that's I'm late for my period. I'm having some cramping and on Sunday I had a little red speck?
Junel: Junel is a very low dose birth control pill so it stimulates very little growth of the uterine lining and it is not uncommon for it to cause missed periods or only spotting on the placebos (reminder pills). If you have been taking them at the same time everyday, the chance of pregnancy is extremely small. Just keep taking them. If you are worried check a pregnancy test. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Will taking junel 120 birth control pills be enough to keep me from getting pregnant even if they are a lower dosage?
Yes ~98%: In 14+ yrs experience I have not yet seen but one woman get pregnant while taking birth control the correct way. The first month you should always use a second form of b.C. And keep in mind they do not prevent std's. As far as the low dose goes. I would say there is approximately a 98% chance that they will work if taken correctly. If you miss a dose remember to take two the next day catch up. ...Read more
