Hi have you heard of juice plus capsules? Apparently it's good for health and you feel good. True?
OKbut better options: Juice Plus capsules have fruit & veggie extracts containing a variety of phytonutrients that benefit health. It's OK but it's even better to eat whole fruits & vegetables. However, extra amounts don't hurt but I'm not a big fan as it's not from organic produce. I think products like ORAC Energy Greens are far superior and it is organic.1 pack has the antioxidants of 24 servings of fruits & veggies. ...Read more
Eat veggies: After looking over the Juice Plus website, I still can't figure out what it is. There's no nutritional information. How much protein? Fiber? simple/complex carbs? I guess it is powered vegetables. Lots of hype. As such, it will not hurt you, and if it fits into an overall good nutritional food plan it may be ok, but why not just eat vegetables and fruits? ...Read more

Hi, I am considering taking juice plus. Do you know if there are true benefits or is it a waste of my money?
Save money: Save money by not buying "supplements" advertised to give health benefits, unless one's doctor specifically recommends the product. Rather than buying juice plus, a person can eat plenty of true vegetables, some fruit (but not too much fruit), and take an inexpensive multivitamin each day. For women, be sure to get enough calcium and vitamin d to keep bones strong. ...Read more
Has anyone heard of juice plus? It's supposed 2 be very healthy and I'm thinking of trying it. Wanted some info beforehand if possible.
NoFreeLuch/DietPunch: Yes, I've heard of it-- and also Dr. Black's Texas Super Food, and Frutein, Spirutein, Ultimate Meal, Ultimate Energy, Mega Food Daily, Vega One-and on and on and on. Getting a daily hit of dessicated fruits and vegetables will do no harm and maybe help a little, but check out the competition, the ingredients and the pricesThen calculate the "price per" of your favorites (e.g. $$ per gram protein) ...Read more
Not really known: Juice plus+ has several products, and since they are not medications approved by the fda, juice plus+ products are probably not tested for interactions and side effects like real medicines are. So, that means nobody really knows what side effects there are. If a juice plus+ user hears of some interaction or thinks he is getting a side effect, he can visit his primary care doctor. ...Read more
Any feedback regarding juice plus on hypothyroid patients? Not looking to cure but to feel better without leaving my medication.
OK but can do better: I like that juice plus is a concentrate of healthy fruits ; veggies but several of its ingredients are on the ewg's dirty dozen list of most pesticide-laden produce ; there is no indication juice plus is organic. You'd be far better off choosing a product like orac energy greens which is entirely organic or wildcrafted; one serving has the antioxidant power of 24 servings of fruits ; vegetables. ...Read more

My 3 year old is always having constipation I have given her prune juice plus she's a picky eater. What else can I do to help her poo?
Make Dietary Changes: 3 yr old "always having constipation". Your child is "a picky eater" and dietary selection contributes to constipation which in turn impairs the appetite. Inadequate dietary fluid and fiber is commonly the cause. Prune juice helps, adding 6-8 ounces water and 8-13 grams fiber to daily diet is best. Your child should see the doctor to check for medical causes if this has not already been done. ...Read more
I've been told great things about taking juice plus for skin irritation and hair loss. But also read that it has too much beta-carotene in it. HELP!?
Try it: Hair loss at your age is hypothyroidism until proved otherwise because you will become bad-sick if it is missed. Your physician needs to be in the loop. These "natural healing" people make unsubstantiated claims and trash one another's products with little or no science. Try it, you should be safe, do not expect any miracles; consider getting with an evidence-based holist for good guidance. ...Read more
