Not a good idea: As a diabetic, you need to have mixed meals, including complex carbohydrates, fiber (to total 35 grams daily), lean protein and a bit of fat (not a lot). This, along with any medications you may take, helps to stabilize and regulate blood sugar levels throughout the day and night. Avoid fasting.: The real question is, not which foods to avoid during a fast, but whether fasting itself is a good idea. The colon does not benefit from juice cleanses and fasting. Tween cleanse : I would be very concerned about this age group doing a 10 day cleanse.
