Specialist : stress fractures are still fractures and need 6-8 weeks to heal. If you are still having pain then the reason for it happening needs to be looked into. Don't remove : It is best to not remove the cast put on by the doctor. They can wipe you leg down when they change out you cast. You should be: Seeing a foot doctor whether podiatrist or orthopedic foot and ankle doc. Are you a smoker? Do you happen to know if you have vitamin D deficiency? Have you been exercising or wearing normal shoes during the healing process? At 14 weeks that certainly is delayed healing and you need to discuss a plan with the dr taking care of you. Depends: Just seeing callus indicates that the healing process is in progress. Has the callus bridged the fracture? Has the fracture line been obliterated by callus?
