It could be a lot of: There's no single test to confirm a diagnosis of chronic fatigue syndrome. You may have to undergo a variety of medical tests to rule out other health problems that have similar symptoms. With any kind of over-use injury caused by a repetitive activity, it will not get better until you cut back on the activity, often for 3-6 weeks until healing occurs, then prevent a recurrence by knowing your limits and resting when symptoms start to re-develop. ...Read more

Finger pain joint: swelling can be inflammatory, traumatic, infectious in a younger person. There are other things too that are rarer. Pain that has persisted for more than a few days should be evaluated. Questions include history of puncture, laceration, recent illness, other joints that hurt, diet, metabolic disorder, inflammatory arthritis, thyroid, diabetes, Lyme and the list goes on...... Neuropathy: 36 yo w. chronic "joint pain" but doesn't tell us whether this discomfort is in hand/wrist, shoulder or generalized; or from injury. Apparently, diagnostic efforts not yet undertaken & etiology of "joint" symptoms unknown. Rheumatologic symptoms are commonly bilateral.
