Over time, however, repeated stressful situations put a strain on the body that may contribute to physical and psychological problems. Chronic (long-term) stress can have real health consequences and should be addressed like any other health concern. Fortunately, research is showing that lifestyle changes and stress-reduction techniques can help people learn ...Read more

I am unable to take a stress test while on the treadmill since I have lung and asthma problems. What reactions should I expect from the chemical stress tests?
Depends on lung issu: There are two main types of chemical stress tests: Adenosine and persantine. Adenosine can/and does induce asthma attacks in many asthmatics so make sure the cardiologist knows about your asthma. It can be reversed but they don't like affecting the lungs when posible. Generally what they do is make your heart beat faster and pump harder. So you feel a little jumpy but rarely and specific pain. ...Read more

Several issues here:: Double product=highest systolic pressure times max heart rate, e.g 169 mmHg x 169 BPM = 28561. 170 BPM=not very high for age; predicted max near 190.
