A good program.: If u r beginning u need a structured program best set up by an atc, programed to ur build & needs & abilities. Have some 1 on 1 training until u understand & b able 2 follow on ur own . Start slowly & increase as u can. Start with dumbells!: Your basic strength exercises do not need free weights. Abdominal crunches, pushups, jump-squats, etc. But dumbells are a versatile start. Depends on condition: Windy, wet, hot, cold are all very different conditions and must be taken into account when training. Certainly a wet surface will make you more prone to a slip and fall and perhaps that would be a good track day or indoor cross training day.
