Hello I've had an upset stomach for the last two days and everything I put on it seems to makes it worse. Even sipping water seems to cause issues.
Can not keep anything down today. Threw up three times. First two times it was water the third it was soup. What should I do to calm my upset stomach?
Vomiting: it is important to keep hydrated ,dehydration worsens vomiting and makes you weaker. If you can't keep any liquids down even water( not just a sip but a cup) go to ER /urgent care they can give you medicine -phenergan/ Zofran (ondansetron) that treats nausea so you can keep water down. Acid reflux: instead of Malta and salt water, you might consider using antacids such as Tums (calcium carbonate) or Mylanta. Generics are fine. In addition, avoiding particular foods which make your problem worse,with most people reporting that tomatoes, onions, citrus fruits, chocolate, and garlic are frequent problem foods.
