Acid reflux: Instead of Malta and salt water, you might consider using antacids such as Tums (calcium carbonate) or Mylanta. Generics are fine. In addition, avoiding particular foods which make your problem worse, with most people reporting that tomatoes, onions, citrus fruits, chocolate, and garlic are frequent problem foods. See answer: There are many "family" remedies for many illnesses and boiled eggs a for GI upset is one such example. Similar to taking "coke syrup" or flat cola. Some people with gag at the thought of eating a boiled egg, and will only worsen their GI upset.
