Not always.: Endometriosis is usually pretty obvious to the surgeon and pathology tests are often not needed just to make the diagnosis at the time of surgery; however, if anything is removed from the body it will be sent to pathology for tests. Issue may be deeper: the pain may be originating from a deeper source physically and that is why the nerve blocks may not be working. Botox injections may help? I always suggest meditation-deep-slow breathing- also for pain. "water boils" near incision sites are frequently blisters related to the adhesive in the dressings used to cover the incisions. Many options : There are many scar treatments available now. The best is some form of silicone-either topical cream or solid sheet.
