Sorry : Sorry you're going through all that. Especially since one of the advantages of the screw should be earlier return to function. If everyone agrees that the screw is protruding then you need to be cautious about leaving it as is because it may cause damage to the cartilage of the joint. Cartilage damage is hard to undo.
