Throat infection: This might or might not be related. The jaw pain might be an infected tooth. Or it might be a TMJ problem. Or you might have strep throat or infected tonsils. It is impossible to say without an examination. You need to see your dentist and/or you medical doctor.

Possible TMJ: The way your teeth meet, may need adjustment, so possibly you favor one side or possibly clench or grind your teeth. Temporomandibular joint / muscles -problems can present these symptoms. See a dentist for an evaluation. Try to keep a log of what your were doing immediately prior to each "event" as this may help you or your dentist determine if any harmful habit is causing your problem.

Been having jaw pain n it's making head pains on the same side temples hurt scared bone brain infec on augmentin will that work for jaw infe if one?

Need diagnosisYes co: You need a diagnosis. Unlikely a brain or bone infection unless you've been told that is the problem. Could be a TMJ or wisdom tooth problem. See oral surgeon for exam/recommendation. S If TMJ diagnosed, see a TMJ expert for guidance. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists.

I got a cold 2weeks ago now my right side temple hurts along with occasional ear and jaw pain what is this?

A Few Things: With that history it could be many things...Most likely causes include... 1. Tmj disorder 2. Sinusitis 3.Ear infection I would recommend a md visit first to check ear and sinuses, then dentist if those are ok. This is common as pain in the head can come from many sources and the actual cause can take a bit of diagnostic detective work.

See your dentist: Dentists specialize in treating facial issues. See your dentist and have them evaluate you for bruxism, an abscessed tooth, trigeminal neuralgia, or TMJ. Your symptoms could be a wide range of issues. Your dentist should be able to help you figure out what is wrong or can point you in the direction of a specialist who can. Best of luck :)

Please tell me if TMJ can cause right side facial numbness ear and jaw pain?

Please tell me if TMJ can cause right side facial numbness ear and jaw pain?

Yes, It's Possible: Problems within the tm joint can cause a huge variety of symptoms, which differ from person to person. Ear and jaw pain are very common. Facial tingling and numbness are less common, but still possible. Unfortunately, there's really no proven way for you to take care of this problem yourself. You need to see a dentist who's experienced with TMJ problems. Get help before your symptoms worsen!

Infection: If the problem is new, an infected, impacted third molar (wisdom tooth) may present this way.

Have severe jaw pain an ear pain & can not find any one that specialize in TMJ that takes my medical card help! What can I do do I have to live wit It?

Hmmm: We often have to "pay" for the best care. Most things in life are not free. It will be your choice to find a competent practitioner in your area who can help you regardless of insurance coverage or live with the discomfort. You might be able to seek care in a local dental school for treatment at a reduced rate. However, expect the process to take longer.

Can jaw pain be a side effect to ear infections?

Inflammation: Your jaw pain is probably secondary to inflammation from the ear infection. It is not a side effect, but a result of the infection.

Got hit in jaw. Pain in left side of lower jaw and ear. Hurts to eat on that side. Can't close it all the way. Have movement but with pain. Help?

See Dentist ASAP: It sounds like a possible jaw fracture or a bleed into the TMJ jaw joint. You need an accurate diagnosis from a dentist. They can remmend treatment or proper referral for follow up.

I was eating something crunchy when I suddenly got jaw pain on the left side near my ear whenever I clench my teeth. Is this something I can wait out?

I was eating something crunchy when I suddenly got jaw pain on the left side near my ear whenever I clench my teeth. Is this something I can wait out?

Be careful: You could have strained your left TMJ when you were eating. If the range of motion of your jaw is not affected and you experience no pain/discomfort or popping/clicking in the joint when you open and close and if you don't notice a change in your bite then you can expect it to get better. Just eat a softer diet, try taking an NSAID like advil (ibuprofen) and alternate between hot/cold compress on the joint.

More investigation: 2 more exams needed. Review your symptoms with both 1) ear/nose/throat specialist and 2) dentist familiar with TMJ dysfunction.

Severe jaw pain on the right side of my face. It doesn't hurt my teeth or anything but right in front of my ear. My jaw will pop/ grind randomly also?

TMJ Dysfunction: The initial impression from the description of the location of your pain suggests a TMJ disorder. A thorough evaluation should be performed by your dentist to determine the origin and cause of your pain before any recommendations for treatment can be discussed.
