I have jaw pain in the left side of my face, minor congestion (normal for me), and feeling of a lump in the left side of my neck. Could this be sinus?

Sinus: The maxillary sinus is located near your nose. If the pain is coming from there, then it might be a sinus infection. You could be coming down with a cold or have a bad tooth. A rotten tooth in the lower jaw can cause an infection that is draining into a space in the floor of the mouth. If you feel it is the latter, definitely go get checked! ...Read more

I've been having jaw pain lately... Very annoying.. On the right side of my face. Like right where the upper and lower meet. What could it be?

Pain in jaw: You may be clenching or grinding your teeth. A professional hard night guard made by your dentist is the best thing for clenching at night. It should protect your teeth and tmj, and alleviate pain. It also may be an infection in a tooth, so see your dentist right away for evaluation and treatment. ...Read more

First, : First, you should go to health services and have them check your blood pressure since your pulses seem unusually strong to you. The other thing you should do is to make an appointment with your dentist. You may be grinding your teeth at night and experiencing temporo-mandibular joint dysfunction. The TMJ is the joint between the mandible (jawbone) and the temporal bone just in front of the ear. The pain would radiate from inflamed tmj's to the temples and the jaws. Your dentist may recommend a bite block to wear at night. You are smart to limit salt and to try to lose weight. Good luck to you. ...Read more

Extremely painful headache once a week that is more painful on the right side of face especially behind eye. I wear contacts and have jaw pain

Lots of info: but not enough to ferret this out. Glaucoma does not cause jaw pain. TMJ usually occurs more frequently than once a week and does not cause retro-orbital pain. Not due to cerebral aneurysm (too many headaches-you can have up to two from this cause (expansion / rupture). Need more information, and a good exam. Find yourself a top notch neurologist and have this problem addressed properly. ...Read more
