Need more info: A swollen jaw can obviously produce an asymmetrical appearance of the face and jaws. More additional information is needed to determine if your swelling is a soft tissue problem or a hard tissue problem related to an abnormality in your jaw producing the asymmetry. Unlikely: Parathyroid cancer is very rare. Patients with parathyroid cancer often have PTH in the 400-500 range. I wouldn't suspect PTH cancer with a level of 108. That being said, you need to evaluate the lymph nodes if things are not improving. ...Read more

See your doctor: Has he been sick? Lymph nodes can swell in reaction to infections, but they (less frequently) can be signs of lymphoma (a lymph tumor). He should see his doctor and have them examined. Hope this helps! ...Read more

The onset of swelling is suggestive of infection, and pain with opening might mean the infection has spread to the jaw joint space. Possible allergy: If you wear earrings and have this rash you may be allergic to the nickel in the earrings. See a dermatologist or your general doctor who can prescribe a cortisone cream and stop wearing the earrings till the rash has gone away.
