Swollen Gland: Under jaw, if it has occurred in conjunction with your tooth extraction it may just be an inflammatory lymph node. However, if it is still tender and especially if it is growing, I would see my doctor about a referral to an ENT. ...Read more

Lymph node: What you are describing could be an inflamed submental lymph node. Lymph nodes can be painful if you have an infection. Infections from the lower lip, floor of the mouth, teeth, salivary gland, tip of the tongue and the skin of the cheeks all can affect the submental lymph node.
