Note even the combination may not be adequate for achieving tight control. Your doctor will follow your A1c response, and if it's in the mid-low 6's, you're good to go. No ones perfect/?: I'm not sure I completely understand your?, but as an insulin dep diabetic on Janumet (sitagliptin and metformin) you are on pretty tx. No fixed dose medication will completely control your sugar if you have a high carb meal. Janumet (sitagliptin and metformin) usually does a pretty good job helping.
