My son is 14 months. Is it okay for him to be eating jarred baby food? If so what age should he stop?
Big boy food!: He is probably ready to start transitioning to table foods and soft chunky foods like pieces of bananas, chunks of soft potatoes and veggies, scrambled eggs and small pieces of regular foods. Of course it's ok you are still doing transportable foods, in jars, but he will start noticing other options and is probably ready. Slowly transition and be amazed! ...Read more

Sample feeding schedule or menu for a 7mo who eats fruits and veggies? She eats a jar of fruit in the AM & a jar of veggies PM w/25 oz of formula/day
It doesn't matter: Aside from not feeding anything at night, it doesn't matter what the feeding schedule is. At 6-9 months, a baby gets most of his nutrition from breast milk or formula (don't need to count the total ounces). Solid foods are for fun, for experience, and for the variety. 2-4 oz food at 3 times a day works fine. Using a high chair, and feeding at the dining table at meal times, helps form good habits. ...Read more

My husband has been feeding her baby food directly out of a jar and saving the leftovers, and then feeding it to her the next day.How dangerous is it?
Not a good idea: It's best to take some of the baby food out of the jar and put it in a dish to feed her. That way the remainder will not get contaminated by the bacteria that are in her mouth. Those germs are not harmful in her own mouth, but when they sit in food for a while, they may cause growth of bacteria that will make her sick. ...Read more
My baby is 7mnts 11 days. She eats half a jar if not less of fruits or veggies a day. Is that enough 4 her? Am I movin to slow w her? What else should
It depends on: the rest of her diet. She is likely getting all of the vitamins and minerals she needs from her other sources of calories. If you would like her to take more fruits and veggies, try a wider variety of them. She is only 5 weeks into taking solids, so I wouldn't panic about her intake of fruits and veggies quite yet. ...Read more

Not DEA: You can to write to the State Medical Board for your state (I am assuming you are in the US). The DEA does not have any information for you. Many states keep a record of every time a patient fills a prescription for pain killers. Doctors can access this information on the internet. An attorney might be able to help, I'm not sure what your goal is. Try a pain specialist, often an anesthesiologist. ...Read more
