Ivf Blastocyst Implantation Symptoms
I had IVF transfer (d-17). Got 2 frozen 6-days blastocysts. Hours later felt sharp cramps. Next day, got light spotting. Can it be implantation? Thanks
In vitro fertilization is an assisted reproductive technology. Ivf is a procedure used to treat fertility problems and assist with the conception of a child. During ivf mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a lab. A few days later, the fertilized egg (embryo) or eggs are implanted into the uterus. One cycle of in vitro fertilization ...Read more
1st IVF cycle had 5/16 mature eggs. Only 2 blastocysts, both had chromo abnorm. I'm 41. Any way to improve % of mature eggs / increase # of blasts?
IVF with PGS: Although the result may be sub-optimal, knowing how you responded to the medications and how the follicles grew will help your doctor to improve the chance of success with the next cycle and may increase the number of embryos you will have. Doing the preimplantation genetic screening of the embryos will improve your chance of success with the transfer. ...Read more
I'm having spotting after a failed IVF cycle, any chance that it was late implantation or am I just delusional?
Is a 6 cell embryo on Day 3 an option to make it to a viable blastocyst for IVF transfer on Day 5? I know ideally it should be an 8 cell on Day 3.
Would be concerned a: Bout how it got to be 6 celled. The fertilized egg should split into two and each of the cells then consequently double so should be 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, etc. 6 is not part of that so was there some sort of problem during 4-to-8 split such that half the slcells didn't split? ...Read more
I had a very early beta at 8dp5dt after IVF transferring 1 blastocyst that was just starting to hatch. My beta was 16 - I know this is low - any hope?
WHAT DID YOUR DOC: Say? If u had ivf they should be answering that? And following u very closely and they are the ones that should be giving u the odds of success because they know u and how everything went obviously as I am sure they told u they will be doing another bhcg and I assume a Progesterone level in 2-3 days and am sure they told u the beta should double every 3 days or go up 66% in 2 days. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I am 39 had IVF 22 eggs collected one blastocyst transferred on day 5. When is minimum time I can get positive hpt?
I know there's issues with embryo implantation due to endometriosis. Is there something to take to improve chances of implantation with ivf?
IVF implantation: After transfer of the embryo implantation occurs about 6-10 days later. There will always be some degree of human variation and the exact timing of implantation can not be predicted ahead of time. There is a physiologic window for implantation to occur by the nature of our physiology. Exactly how long that window is in any one individual during any one cycle is not known. ...Read more
No: The window of implantation appears to close at about noon on day 6 post-retrieval. While there may be occasional pregnancies, the success rate drops significantly. I am not sure why you or your doc would want to transfer on day 7, but it is almost certainly a poor idea. ...Read more
In failed IVF, how can one determine if it is due to implantation failure? What causes implantation failure
Negative preg. Test: Embryos that implant ('take' in the lining of the uterus) make detectable levels of HCG hormone, so embryos that implant and then fail later cause a 'biochemical pregnancy' or miscarriage. Embryo transfer with negative blood HCG means embryos didn't implant. Possible causes: genetic or metabolic problems in the embryos, polyps or other problems with uterine lining, or issues with embryo transfer. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Discuss with doctor: The regimens used should not make implantation more difficult. The combo of meds usually makes it more likely to have a successful cycle. However the implantation success is less predictable ...Read more
Is the development and stages of zygote, blastocyst, etc. The same whether or not u have had IVF or the natural way?
Going through IVF with wife. All tests of sperm has been in the 10-16 million range. Donated for implantation and it dropped to 50 total. Reasons?
Abstinence: Many factors affect sperm numbers. The length of the abstinence period before collection is a common factor. A recent high fever or illness could be a factor. If the sperm function is normal then no worries, as your wife probably had fewer eggs than sperm. Icsi can be used for unexpected changes. The babies will be normal too. Best wishes. ...Read more

One common meaning refers to the process by which an embryo attaches to the uterus of a woman so that she is pregnant. Many think of it as 'sticking.' implantation in humans always occurs when the embryo is between 6-7 days old. A very popular concept on the internet now in 2012, 'implantation bleeding, ' is speculative ...Read more
