Ivf And Negative Results
Yes: If you did a urine pregnancy test, there are a some amount of false negatives, meaning you are pregnant but the test is still shows negative. If you waited some time, then the urine test could then be positive. Because of this, I only do blood pregnancy tests because of "what is at stake" and you "hate" to be wrong. Hope this helps. ...Read more
In vitro fertilization is an assisted reproductive technology. Ivf is a procedure used to treat fertility problems and assist with the conception of a child. During ivf mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a lab. A few days later, the fertilized egg (embryo) or eggs are implanted into the uterus. Had a negative pregnancy result after and IVF and still no spotting or period, what could be responsible, or is the blood test wrong?
Trust the test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. ...Read more
After ivf, 1st u/s at 7 weeks: twins measured 8.76 mm, 7.86 mm My 2nd u/s at 8 wks, 12.63mm 153bpm, 12.2mm 163bpm Are these good results?
Cannot be sure.: But certainly your underlying medical problems and their therapy can impact your chance of success per ivf cycle -which is probably no more than 15-20% at your age anyway. Take folic acid, follow the advice of your reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist and keep your spirits up. Perseverance and optimism get rewarded typically. Best of luck! ...Read more
My amh-0.78 tried one cycle of IVF transfered only 2 embroies but negative. Pls suggest me how to increase amh level.
AMH and IVF success: First, just because your first ivf cycle was not successful, doesn't mean you won't get pregnant. One measure may be to undergo pgd/pgs to evaluate the embryos before transfer. Still, there isn't a "way" to improve your amh level but some investigators suggest that a diet rich in antioxidants and vitamin d or taking supplements containing these may improve your chance of success. ...Read more

Pregnant or not?: If you are pregnant from ivf and you are bleeding does not mean that the pregnancy is destined to end. Please see your ivf doctor immediately. IVF counseling: A low AMH level decreases the success rate of IVF. Individual cases should be addressed by one on one with a fertility specialist who can calculate your odds of success based on more than just this one number. With very low numbers such as this often donor eggs are suggested for improving IVF success. ...Read more
What's your advice to eat after IVF to garantee better result and do you recommend a normal lifestyle or is it better to relax during this period?
Normal Balanced Life: Just be normal; eat healthy, take breaks at work and rest, take it easy at home and try to have a stress free life. Usually just a day or two rest after the embryo transfer is more than enough. At our center we do not recommend sex or lifting above 20 lbs until after the pregnancy test is performed (there is no medical evidence that this improves pregnancy rates but we recommend anyway). ...Read more
