Iui With Clomid And Ovidrel
3rd iui with clomid (clomiphene) and ovidrel and unexplained infertility, wife is 34. Low chance of success? Losing hope and ashamed.
Intrauterine insemination (iui) is where fresh or frozen partner or donor sperm is prepared or 'washed' to increase the sperm quality then gently injected through your cervix after a speculum exam, like a pap smear exam. It should be painless or cause mild cramping only. Iui helps with mild to moderate sperm problems. Iui preparations should have at least 2 million moving ...Read more
What can I do to increase my chance that my IUI will b successful? Taking clomid, (clomiphene) ovidrel and progesterone
I am experiencing painful twinges. Mostly on my left side, but occasionally on right. I did IUI 8 days ago (clomid (clomiphene) and ovidrel)implanation cramps?
I had clomid, (clomiphene)ovidrel, IUI bcos of PCOS. I Ov'd twice but BFN and I got periods exactly 18days past triger. So am I ovulating in 36hrs window or more with ovidrel? Or is my Luteal phase 16 days?
Clomid, (clomiphene) ovidrel, IUI on 3/4. Had breast tenderness, brownish spotting, tingling here & there. 3 weeks post IUI negative hpts & beta. Possible problem?
Failed CC/IUI: The most obvious problem is you did not get pregnant. Not having a period could be for several reasons: not ovulating on the clomid, (clomiphene) possible persistent functional cyst would be 2 likely ones; you'd need to see a doctor in person to sort it out. Best of luck! ...Read more
I have a cold during my scheduled IUI (i used chlomid & ovidrel) so I had intercourse with my husband instead. Did being sick decrease my chances?

How to increase LH level naturally without going through Clomid (clomiphene) and IUI in order to conceve?
What is Question?: Lh is the hormone that triggers ovulation and starts the genetic process called meiosis to make the egg have half the chromosomes. We usually use lh treatment to trigger ovulation as in nature (we usually use hcg, a similar hormone). If you do not ovulate then you do not have lh for ovulation with other hormone imbalance. I suggest you see your doc and review your situation for options. Best. ...Read more
Are injectibles with IUI more successful than Clomid (clomiphene) with iui? We are thinking about doing our first round of IUI with Clomid (clomiphene) only.
Some patient groups: In some patient populations, and for some diagnoses 'yes, ' for others success rates are pretty similar. Injectible drugs always have a significantly higher chance of multiple conception than oral drugs. ...Read more

My Dr. Said Clomid (clomiphene) is not that effected is that true he said after my test he will put me on some more fertility drugs before IUI what drugs is that?
How many inseminations per cycle will be given to a women using Clomid (clomiphene) (or injectables) with iui?
One or two per cycle: One to two per cycle - if one insemination (iui) per cycle we schedule it on the day of expected ovulation (egg release), if two we do one IUI the day before ovulation as well. Two IUI is a slightly higher pregnancy rate than one, but not double. Have intercourse 2-3 times a week as well. Your wife should see a rei (infertility specialist) if not pregnant after three cycles of clomid (clomiphene). ...Read more
It's common using Clomid (clomiphene) to have decreased mucus prior to ovulation, and an IUI may be needed, how can I detect this?
Cervical mucus: Usually around the time of ovulation cervical mucus is very apparent. It is usually long and stringy. But sometimes on Clomid (clomiphene) the mucus is decreased somewhat. Usually the mucus is thicker and less penetrable. Sometimes I recommend patient's to use Robitussin or guaifenesin to thin mucus. ...Read more

Should Clomid (clomiphene) be combined with IUI in couples with unexplained infertility? Or is it okay to initiallly go with Clomid (clomiphene) on its own?
Studies suggest...: Clomid (clomiphene) ovulation induction is combined with IUI based on evidence from older studies showing statistical improvement in success unexplained infertility. Nowadays, unexplained infertility should be a rare disagnosis indeed, but the cc/iui combination is still prudent and evidence-based. Newer studies emphasize the proven success of ivf for unexplained. ...Read more
Diminished ovarian reserve with low egg supply. Would u rec Clomid (clomiphene) with IUI or injectable with iui. I am 35 years old?
Yes, IVF is better: At age 39 with DOR, you may try few cycles Clomid (clomiphene) IUI, but IVF is a better option. The reason is with DOR, you don't have many embryos to work with. On the other hand, if you do IVF, you may bank embryos and do FET later. At age 39, I strongly recommend to do Pre-implantation genetic screening (PGS) of your embryos prior to transfer. It will increase your change of pregnancy and reduce miscarriage ...Read more

Had IUI (clomid+ ovidril), 2 follicles mturd confirmed, 10dpIUI (19th dayofthecycle), cramps like that I get in periods, but no spotting yet? Ispreg sym?
Not Really: Cramping 10 days post IUI may not be related to pregnancy. It is too early. It may mean that period is coming. It can also mean a completely different issue like an ovarian cyst that can happen with Clomid (clomiphene). It may be even related to implantation. So, it is best to just wait another 4 days and see if you need to do a pregnancy test. Good Luck! ...Read more

Is there a higher risk of getting pregnant with the IUI and doing Clomid (clomiphene) and getting the booster shot?
My wife has some cramps 7 days after the iui. She took Clomid (clomiphene) and gonal injections before the iui. Is cramping a good or bad sign?
How effective would IUI be with just one follicle : 17 mm on Day 10?? Husbands sperm count: normal. I was a poor responder to 3 cycles of Clomid (clomiphene).
Debatable: The effectiveness of IUI with a normal semen analysis. Clomid (clomiphene) does create a mucous problem in about 40% of patients so IUI can make sense if that is the stim drug. Letrozole on the other hand does not cause a mucous problem. In our opinion, IUI is not helpful in this case. In conclusion, if Clomid (clomiphene) is your drug, IUI can be helpful and likely would yield a PR of 8-13%/cycle. Good Luck ...Read more

My husband has cbavd. Could we have success with iui? Fsh is normal. Test. Is 228, but he is taking Clomid (clomiphene) for 3 months before extraction.
IVF / ICSI is better: Congenital bilateral absence of the vas deferens means that he'll need a surgical sperm retrieval, usually pesa or percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration, done by a urologist. Pesa is simpler than testicular retrieval but still carries some risk of scarring/ damage. 1 pesa may yield enough sperm for 1-2 IUI attempts; ivf with icsi has a much better success rate with surgically retrieved sperm. ...Read more
