Mild pcos, 1 failed medicated iui, what do I do next?

Failed?: If failed means unsuccesful, and if the cycle looked good, it's usual to try 3 times before jumping ship. If failed means no follicle development at all, then either another stimulation protocol, an alternate medicine choice, or ivf are further steps. ...Read more

I do have pcos and my husband severe oligoathrnszoospermia my gyn want us to use insemenation iui.can that work for us? Help

Its a good option: IUI is a good option for you. Your husband's sperm from several donations can be concentrated. Then, at just the right moment, your doctor can put it right were it needs to be. Sometimes nature needs a little help.

PCOS can prevent you from ovulating. If your doctor does IUI, he will know how to make sure you are ovulating on your own or give you medicine to help you ovulate.

I have mild pcos, I have done 2iui s with three chemical pregnancies.I want to try another iui, how can I prevevent another chemical pregnancy?

Early miscarriages: Biochemical pregnancy (positive HCG hormone but too low to see a pregnancy on ultrasound) is either very early miscarriage or early tubal pregnancy. You need to be checked for tubal problems and polyps/fibroids in the uterus with an hsg, as well as tests for diminished ovarian reserve (low egg supply). After 2 + losses you should be checked for thrombophilias and autoimmune causes of miscarriage. ...Read more

Age:23,16 months married life.Diagonsed with PCOS.1st IUI failed. What is the chance of pregnancy on further cycles of IUI? Is it advisable to try now?

PCOS: Before you plan another IUI I would suggest that you find out if your ovulatory. It doesn't make sense to schedule an IUI if you're not ovulating. If you aren't ovulatory then I would suggest medication to get you to ovulate and then plan the IUI. ...Read more

I am 29 yrs old & hv pcos.Aftr 1 yr of trying I got pregnant in 2nd iui. But it end up in miscarriage whn i was 3 weeks pregnant.whn shud i try again?

This is a question: that you need to direct to your treating physician. Not knowing the specific details of the amount of blood lost and the specifics surrounding your fertility and metabolic disorder, giving specific information is not possible, and probably unsafe. Clearly you will want to try again as soon a it is safe to do so. Call your doc and ask them what they suggest and when you need to follow up. good luck ...Read more

I have pcos and my husbands semen analysis was low but motility was good I am in my first monitered cycle of Clomid (clomiphene) w/hgc & IUI what are our chances?

I have pcos and my husbands semen analysis was low but motility was good I am in my first monitered cycle of Clomid (clomiphene) w/hgc & IUI what are our chances?

Depends: Ideally we like to see 5 million total motile sperm after the wash for an IUI specimen. If you have a good IUI specimen and you respond well to Clomid (clomiphene) then your chance of conception should be about the same as a fertile couple: about 15% per cycle, about 60% after 6 cycles. ...Read more

My wife ( pcos ) , is on her 7 th cycle with Clomid (clomiphene) 200 mg bd + letroz 2.5 mg bd; possibility of birth defects ? Iui on tomrrw. Quick ans. Pls!

7 clomid (clomiphene) cycles: Birth defects are not a concern in pregnancies conceived while taking either Clomid (clomiphene) or letrazole. However, if your wife is not pregnant after 6 cycles on clomid, (clomiphene) it is time to move on to a more agressive modality! ...Read more

How successful is IUI if have PCOS and have done Clomid (clomiphene) and meds over year and ovulated twice with no pregnancy? Think mucus not what should be!

PCOS: Pregancy even with clomiphene citrate is not easy to achieve, and ovulation "twice" in a year is also not helping your chances. Ask your healthcare professional to consider increasing your dose of clomid, or perhaps move to FSH analogues to help you ovulate. You also at 35 may consider in vitro fertilization if the preceding does not produce pregnancy in another six months or so. ...Read more

I have had two miscarriages pcos thin. I tested positive for mthr-gene and lupus anticoagulant. Should i look at IUI next time? I get period 18 days

Before pregnancy!: Make sure that both you ; your hubby (if + for the mthfr 677 or 1298 genotypes), are first being treated with l-methylfolate, p5p, and methylcobalamin (at the minimum), to give any pregnancy a best chance for success. Also, do not take a prenatal vitamin that has regular fa if you are a known mthfr+ person. The regular Folic Acid blocks the receptors that need to let l-mthf through. Pm me! ...Read more

Intrauterine Insemination (Definition)

Intrauterine insemination (iui) is where fresh or frozen partner or donor sperm is prepared or 'washed' to increase the sperm quality then gently injected through your cervix after a speculum exam, like a pap smear exam. It should be painless or cause mild cramping only. Iui helps with mild to moderate sperm problems. Iui preparations should have at least 2 million moving ...Read more
