Eczema: May people have eczema, skin irritation or allergy that does not respond to over the counter medication. Your description of the rash sounds like this, and the location is probable for eczema. See your doctor for a stronger cream, and remember to keep treating it till gone, sometimes takes weeks. It is not a dangerous condition, but should be fullly evaluated by a physician and then treated appropriately. How long?: If it lasts over 6 weeks, see an allergist. If it is short term, try some otc antihistamine up to 4 x the regular frequency but watch out for drowsiness. Otherwise topical Hydrocortisone cream should be tried. If it still did not work, see an allergist. Read more

Possibly: Could be just a post procedure reaction however if it continues to irritate you or gets worse I would speak with your doctor to look at it and make sure you don't have an infection. Read more
