Needs to be seen: A rash on the hands could be the sign of something serious -but a full history and examination is necessary to determine that. If you had a photo you could show us on Health Tap, that would help tremendously. Also whether that was the palms or the back of the hands would help narrow down some of the possibilities. Question is if you have other significant symptoms like headache, fevers/chills, etc ...Read more

Hives?: A rash that comes and goes within a day is most likely to be hives, one of the most miserable and frustrating of benign conditions. By now you have probably thought of every possible food or other trigger but come up with nothing. Sometimes a careful history with your doctor can uncover a known cause. What could be the cause of itchy bumps all over the body (legs, arms, neck, top and bottom of feet, sometimes face and hands) that come and go?

A form of dermatitis: There are a few different conditions that may cause such a presentation. This could be due to an organism. But there are a variety of causes which could be due to eczema or a less common condition called pompholyx. It can be challenging to diagnose in a clinical presentation, so I'm thinking the blisters should be cultured and biopsied. Some rx's usually include a topical steroid. ...Read more
