Try moisturizing: Antihistamines typically don't help widespread itching unless you have been exposed to something to which you are allergic. Dry skin is notorious for causing itching, and can be exacerbated by hot showers or changes in weather. Try taking cooler showers and afterward liberally applying moisturizer while your skin is still damp. See a dermatologist or allergist if your symptoms persist. ...Read more

Allergic reaction: Until proven otherwise I would suspect an allergic reaction to the medication which should be on hold until further investigation of the skin eruption is made. My groin (pubic area) was itchy so i applied a anti-fungal cream (1% clotrimazole) but it irritated and burn my skin. How do I stop the burn/tingling?

See answer: It appears that you are either sensitive or allergic to some ingredient in the Clotrimazole cream causing a "contact dermatitis". Would recommend washing thoroughly with mild, neutral ph soap and apply an over the counter 1 or 2% Hydrocortisone cream or ointment 2-3x a day. Can take up to a couple of weeks to resolve depending on severity. Hope this helps. ...Read more
