Itchy Throat And Chest Pain
Pains: Not enough information without seeing you. Go see your doctor. I'm sure they can help.
How long?: Itching is often associated with allergy. If you have had these symptoms for more than 2 weeks or they have been recurring, they are likely from allergies. Consult an allergist to find out what may be ailing you and whether you may have asthma as well. If there is a family history of allergies, then your chances of having allergies get much higher.See 1 more doctor answer

OTC meds: Medications like Guaifenesin which could be found in Robitussin or Mucinex (guaifenesin) can be helpful. Seek treatment: You should be evaluated. If you have a respiratory infection with difficulty breathing, it could get worse and you may benefit from a breathing treatment to open the airways in the chest. Sometimes a cold with bad cough can also trigger asthma, or "twitchy" airways and can make it hard to breathe. It could be anxiety, but that should be considered after these other possibilities.See 1 more doctor answer

Give it a try: Popsicles are not a medication. These will not do any harm, so give it a try to see if it helps. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex. Get HPV vaccine.
OTC sprays, lozenges: Over-the-counter sprays such as chloroseptic and vics are safe and contain a topical numbing solution which will help relieve discomfort. Gargling with salt-water can also help, especially if it feels like there is a lot of mucus in your throat. Otc lozenges with menthol, eucalyptus, peppermint, spearmint and/or honey may also provide relief. Feel better soon!
Sore throat causes: Itching and soreness of your throat could be due to allergies and post nasal drainage. It could also be due to a viral or early bacterial infection. If there is no fever yet, you may want to try an otc antihistamine such as zyrtec first. If it does not help and you develop a fever, you should visit your doctor to further evaluate your throat.
