Two days ago my left eyebrow felt itchy and so I rub kind of hard and ever since it's swollen and red with no pain no itching?

Local trauma: You likely traumatized the tissue under where you rubbed and there was some bleeding under the skin that is causing the painless swelling now. It should get better on its own soon, but if not, see your health care provider.

Probably eczema: I'm not sure what your question is. Eczema can develop anywhere on the body at any time. Having it on one side of your face is not unusual.

I have swollen itchy red eyelids (one worse than other and spreading into eyebrows) it's sebhorreic dermititis but now also a yeast infection.?

Itchy eyes: Try your best not to rub your eyes, this will make it worse. You can use cold compresses and apply a small amount of Nystatin cream over the lid and brow being careful not to get it in your eye

What could be wrong with my eye? It's swollen and real itchy but only in one eye

What could be wrong with my eye? It's swollen and real itchy but only in one eye

A few possibilities: This could be due to allergies, dry eyes, or eye infections. All can start or affect 1 eye first. The treatments are very different. For allergies, zaditor (ketotifen) is a good otc eye medicine. For dry eyes, lubricating tears are necessary. For infection, usually of the eyelids, start with eyelid warm compress and diluted baby shampoo scrubs. You should have a baseline exam with your eye doctor.

I woke up this morning with one eye swollen and itchy. Do you think something bit me?

A bite or particle: Sudden itching and swelling of one eye is almost always caused by contact with an irritant or allergen. If you see evidence of a bite on the skin, or a particle or insect inside your eye, then you know the cause, but more often than not we cannot figure out the cause. A cool or ice compress should help. Allergens include plant or animal particles on the hands, or even new laundry soap.

Balanitis: Without an examination it is impossible to diagnose. This sounds like afungal infection of the glans (head) penis-usually a pea sized drop of clotirmazole cream will cure this; however, it must be seen.

How do I cure a swollen itchy eye?

How do I cure a swollen itchy eye?

See your eye doctor.: Best to see your eye doctor to determine the cause. It could be from an insect bite, or allergic or infectious. The treatment would be determined by the cause. Generally cold or hot compresses depending on the cause, anti-allergic drops and possibly oral anti-allergic medication (antihistamine) for an allergy or insect bite, antibiotic drops without oral antibiotics for an infection.

I'm worried because my contacts are making my eye itchy, red, and swollen!, what do you suggest?

Discontinue: Discontinue the contacts and follow up with your eye care specialist. Sounds if you are having and allergic reaction. Most likely to the solution or drops you are using with the contacts.

Possibly sty: You may have a sty or blocked oil gland of the eyelash (gland of zeiss) that is secondarily inflamed or infected. Try mod. Hot compresses 2-4 times/day for about 10' followed by gentle massage with diluted baby shampoo on a clean washcloth. This should help it resolve in about 7-10 days. If not and persistent or worsening, then an exam is needed to verify the lid lesion.

What to do if I do not know how or why I got it but my eye is getting swollen and it's red! And it's itchy. What can I do to make it better?

Eyedrops: Check to see if you are using a new skin product, as this can cause a reaction like this. If this has just popped up spontaneously, you can try using artificial tears 4x/day in the eye. If that doesn't work, there is a OTC drop: 'Zatidor', which works well. You can also use Benadryl, (diphenhydramine) but this will cause drowsiness. If these therapies do not work, consider seeing an eye doctor.

Swollen and red and itchy upper eye lid.?

Needs diagnosis: There are several possibilities of which an arthropod bite is a common liklihood but it could also be allergic or eczema or dramatic blepharitis. See your ophthalmologist to sort this out.

Swollen sclera four times in siix months after rubbing eyes that are itchy burning. Also what type of eye dr should I see?

Allergic Conjunctivi: You most likely have an allergic conjunctivitis that causes the itching. Rubbing the eye may feel good for the second, but it will make the aftermath a lot worse. The mechanical stimulation from itching activates allergic response significantly worse. Do not rub the eyes, use cool compress to feel better and see an ophthalmologist for further evaluation.
