Itchy Swollen Ear Canal Symptoms
Ear canal swollen and same ear and eye on left side bumps all over and itchiness. Could there be something in ear or just allergic reaction.?
Allergic reaction: The itchy bumps imply an allergic reaction and should respond to some over the counter cortisone cream, but swelling of the ear canal usually means an outer ear infection (such as "swimmer's ear") and usually ear drops would be prescribed. Occasionally white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide can be used for mild swimmer's ear. ...Read more

Itchy tender ear canal. Hydrogen peroxide burns it. Have this problem often, but worse this time. Never use cotton swabs or swim. How do I fix this?
What can I do about a crusty, itchy rash (?) in my ear canal? I read somewhere that the bacteria inside the ear is different than outside on your body.
Dry skin: Like the rest of the body surface, the skin in the ear canals can get dry, crusty and intensely itchy. Sore and itchy throat, one of my inner ear canal hurting and itching, sneezing, coughing, and watery eyes.
Allergies vs Cold: It sounds like you could have one of two things going on- a cold or allergies. Your symptoms are consistent with seasonal allergies, hitting you all at once, which is no fun. You might try an over the counter med like claritin, (loratadine) zyrtec, or Allegra to see if this helps. You may also need prescription medications to help control your symptoms.
