Itchy Scalp With Red Bumps
I have had an itchy scalp for a month. More around the nape of head. No lice. I also have small red bumps that are tender to touch. What could or be?
Scalp is the part of the skin on the skull, deeply attached to the skull and has the hair shafts from it. Tonight my scalp suddenly became oily, itchy, burning, flakes, and red bumps. It happened very fast but nothing was near my hair today. Any ideas?

Hard to say maybe: From the fabric of your clothes, soap or detergent, . .. Occasionally it can be from a mild inflammation of the hair follicles in that area... Try using a mild soap like dove (white). Detergent like all free clear. Trying yourself well after you bathe. .. And maybe some over-the-counter cortisone cream.
