Red itchy welts started in arm pits and now in groin area(under wear line)lower back, butt and back of knees.I am breast feeding so very concerned.

Possible bite.: Depending on how long it has been there, it could still be a bruise, although if it is bright red, it sounds like a broken capillary (small blood vessel) or possibly spider bite. Could be yeast : Skin yeast infections are called tinea. They may present in areas you describe due to moisture and warm there. Try OTC nystatin powder and/or topical anti final cream.
