Unlikely due to food: Typically food allergies present with skin or GI symptoms. The skin symptoms are usually hives and itching especially near the mouth or lips. Forehead area would be less likely. Depends: Your condition may be seborreic dermatitis or scalp psoriasis. These conditions are at either end of the spectrum and psoriasis is generally more severe w silvery scale and redness. Both conditions do best with rx shampoo like clobetasol to reduce inflammation. If its seb derm, an rx anti fungal shampoo is also good. Otc zinc or selenium shampoo are good but rx are better. ...Read more

Chickenpox: That's just a wild guess. I'm hopeful that you would have already received your chickenpox vaccination which would make this very unlikely. However, it's best for you to go see your family doctor for an evaluation & diagnose along w/appropriate treatment.
