Hi. I am 27, male. I have recently got soome red rash in groin area... It's a little itchy... What can be the reason?
Fungal Infection: Most likely you are suffering from a fungal infection of the skin. It is commonly referred to as jock itch. The main culprit is the humid environment created by sweat and folding of the skin. This creates optimal place for fungus to grow. Medical term used is tinea cruris. Erythrasma: I assume you used actual antibiotics and not antifungals . You could have Erythrasma which is a bacterial infection that just like fungus affects areas of moist skin.
