Red itchy bumps: If you haven't already, start with avoiding any hard scrubbing or washing with soap on those areas. Use a daily barrier ointment like aquaphor immediately after shower. You can also try a otc steroid ointment for a week or so to see if it improves. Sounds like: Your finger may be getting infected. But it could also just be a reaction to some bug bites or contact dermatitis. You may try taking Motrin and anti- histamine to see if this improves your finger. You can also apply neosporin antibiotic ointment if you are developing localized infection.
